Layers for Feltmakers by Liz Evans

Images of my work, created for the "Winter Solace: Simply Red" Exhibition held at Cowra Regional Art Gallery in 2007, have been included in Liz Evan's newly published book, Layers for Feltmakers.
Examples of pieces combining merino wool on Indian cotton voile and tie-dyed bandhani cotton cut from a rajastani turban can be found in the sections on felting on fabrics, using fleece strips and creating pattern and texture.
In the book, Liz shares a wealth of ideas for creating a variety of surfaces using wool, fabric and many other materials including buttons, seeds, coins, sequins, shells and mirrors.
Layers for Feltmakers is available online at www.textilesanyone.com.au or by contacting info@textilesanyone.com.au, and will offer ideas and inspiration for both the novice and more experienced feltmaker.
